De-re-pre-compose images (2026)

Workshop for PhD researchers, The Glasgow School of Art

When I am not facilitating, I am programming. This workshop is led by artist Elisabeth Molin and has grown from conversations about our practices and our shared interest on the circulation and ecology of images. During the workshop, PhD researchers will collaboratively reflect on our relationships to images and image production, and examine the infrastructures and materials that enable their existence and circulation. Together, we navigate between the poetics of images, the conditions of their production, and the relations generated through our daily encounters with images, considering how these conscious and subconscious encounters shape our senses, memories, and emotions.

Remembering forward (2026)

MLitt Curatorial Practice (Contemporary Art) Degree Show

The Class of 2026 who pursued the Master of Letters in Curatorial Practice (Contemporary Art) generated projects that serve as vessels for new relationalities and ways of thinking. They engage with forward remembrances as prospective acts of worlding and prospective re-memory. We invite you to enter this space with an open philosophy and care, better still, with a friend. To slow down and make yourself comfortable; to open up to the relational space of your own imagination.

The Poetics of the Proxy: Rethinking Ownership, Authenticity, and Institutional Authority Through Replicas (2026)

SGSAH Discipline+ Catalyst Event, The Glasgow School of Art

A curated training event for PhD researchers, which opens up from areas of my doctoral research. The event examines the implications of physical and digital replicas across heritage and contemporary art through the concept of the ‘poetics of the proxy’. Bringing together curators, artists, researchers, and heritage professionals, it explores replicas as sites of remediation, resistance, and institutional critique. Speakers included Prof Stuart Jeffrey and Francesca Zappia (The Glasgow School of Art), Matthias Wivel (curator, Copenhagen), Ferdinand Saumarez-Smith (Director, Factum Foundation London), and Patricia Allan (former Curator of World Cultures, Glasgow Museums).

The original copy: Plaster casts and their reproductions (2025)

Workshop, Archives & Collections, The Glasgow School of Art

How to disrupt traditional perceptions of authenticity? I facilitated this workshop around a curated display of archival material of the GSA's Archives & Collections. With the help of prompts, students engage in critical and creative reflection about the objects presented, and notions of copy more generally. Se engage in thinking-through-making activities to instigate conversations and new ways of thinking the value of copies.

The Museum of Proxies (2025)

Workshop, The Glasgow School of Art

This two-day workshop invited the MLitt Curatorial Practice (Contemporary Art) students to engage with the Glasgow School of Art's plaster cast collection and digital replicas. Through discussion, collective research, and practical exercises, participants reflected on the role of replicas in contemporary curatorial and museological practice and imagined alternative futures for collections.
